I received a flyer in the mail today "paid for by the committee to elect David Wright, Ron Emery, Treasurer" with the following statement:

A special message from state representative Steve Buttry:
"As voters choose someone who will replace me in the legislature, it is critical that we send a new person to Nashville who knows how to work with other Republicans and with Governor Bredesen to accomplish important things for the district and the entire state of Tennessee. To me, our choice is clear: I strongly support David Wright and urge you to do the same."

And a message from Gerlard Turner:
"As a former Chairman of the Knox County Republican Party, I usually do not get involved in primary elections. But this case is different. We have a clear choice and we have a real chance to send someone to Nashville who will acoomplish great things for the future of our state. Please join me in supporting David Wright on August 5."
